Music, impersonators, jugglers, mimes, and music – it’s all part of the celebration in downtown Kalamazoo on December 31. It’s been a tradition for 27 years and we are thrilled to announce the 2012 line up. But just as cool is the price – You guessed it – It’s still only $5! (Well, if you wait until December 31 and purchase your buttons in Bronson Park it will be $8).
So, what’s up for December 31? First of all, you spoke, we listened and the big tent in Bronson Park is now the The Celebration Tent and throughout the night (well until 10 pm) we will host kids events, interactive come-any-time activities. And, then at 10 pm, it’s line dancing until midnight. Don’t worry if you have teen or are under that magical age of 21, we have moved your “fun stuff” to The Epic Center where the United Teen Talent Show along with other great guests will be there performing and entertaining.
The Urban Line Dancing is really a big dance tent and will feature some of the greatest hits groing through all the popular line dances of the past 30 years. Starting with the "Electric Slide" and then the "Macarena" to the "Step in the Name of Love" to the "Cha Cha Slide" to the "Cupid Shuffle" all interspersed with a countdown of the top 20 songs of 2012. Yes, it will be fun and create some real "heat" in Bronson Park.
